Commissioning a piece of bespoke furniture gives you the opportunity to put your own personal stamp on a piece of furniture and to make it uniquely yours.

It enables you to acquire a piece of furniture that is the embodiment of your own personal vision of what it should be, combined with Aidan's creative imagination and expertise as a designer craftsman.

The Process

At the start of the commissioning process, Aidan will visit the client to discuss their ideas, wishes and needs. Consideration will be given to every aspect, such as the location of the piece and its surroundings, appropriate choice of timbers, other materials and budget.

At the second stage, Aidan will create initial sketches and costings, which are open to incorporate further ideas from the client. They will be presented to the clients and once agreed upon a design, a deposit is paid at this stage to secure the project.

During the next stage, Aidan will refine the design and transfer it to a 3D technical drawing and source and select the best materials available. During the following making process, clients are welcome to visit and observe the progress of their projects. Every client can become as involved in the project as he or she wishes, to really make this piece of furniture a personal one.
